In 1939, the first-generation Ukichi Nishio established independence from the family and opened the kiln. With a philosophy of creating vessels that gently illuminate what is placed within them through their embracing warmth, and earnestly considering their functionality as tools, we aim to craft pottery that continues to grow alongside those who use it.
