Time Given by the Iron Kettle

Surprised that winter is almost upon us, I notice how busy time has been rushing by. Recently, as I was absentmindedly gazing at my kitchen that hasn't been properly used, I somehow felt restless and couldn't sit still.
Suddenly, I thought of using this winter as an opportunity

I made a resolution to "drink hot water every day."

It was at that very moment that I encountered the Nambu ironware teapot. Looking at it closely, I could see traces of handcrafted work in various places. When I imagine the process of how this teapot was made and think that it is now here in the palm of my hand,
I feel an overwhelming sense of richness.

When water is carefully poured and placed over the fire,

The kitchen suddenly looks so much more elegant.

While the water is boiling, I find myself gazing thoughtfully at the iron kettle, or sometimes thinking of nothing at all.
When friends or parents visit, it also serves as a catalyst for conversation.
There are several moments in my life that have been created by the iron kettle.

I believe it is the time that the iron kettle has given me.

Pour the hot water from the iron kettle into your favorite mug. The taste is smooth and mellow, with no harsh edges.
The chlorine contained in tap water being absorbed by the iron kettle undoubtedly contributes to this effect.

After use, proper maintenance is essential. The extra care invested deepens one's attachment to the piece. Return it to its designated place on the shelf. While it fits naturally on the stove, it also presents beautifully when stored on the shelf.

As I contemplate these thoughts, I reflect on my own life. Amidst the rush of busy days, I find myself experiencing a sense of tranquility. The time spent gazing at the iron kettle has, before I knew it,

It had become a time for self-reflection.
