This is a rare domestically produced palm broom made from carefully selected palm fiber.
Without using copper wire at the shoulder section, the palm fiber is braided in a three-strand pattern, enhancing the design while maintaining sufficient strength.
Palm fibers are fine, resilient, and flexible.
Taking advantage of these characteristics, the palm broom catches dust and dirt without stirring them up into the air.
It is suitable for tatami mats, flooring, as well as room corners and stairs that vacuum cleaners cannot reach.
With proper care, this is an exceptional piece that can be cherished for many years to come.
什麼是棕櫚（Shuro）
棕櫚是棕櫚科植物，屬於雌雄異株的常綠喬木。樹幹筆直挺立，高度可達約十公尺。葉片的長柄基部形成大型葉鞘，而包覆於樹幹上的葉鞘纖維，正是製作各類棕櫚製品的主要材料。
棕櫚製品的特色
棕櫚皮纖維堅韌耐用，並具有優異的耐水性及耐腐蝕性，因此自古以來便廣泛用於製作繩索、掃帚及刷具等生活用品。棕櫚繩除了可用於編製竹籬笆等園藝設施外，亦廣泛應用於三陸地區的裙帶菜養殖等用途，展現出極高的實用性與耐久性。
